Vital are working with an established National Electrical Engineering Contractor.



Job Details

Vital Resources are looking for electricians with controls experience. The vacancy is a permanent job role and will be paid on the books. The works will be based in the Bristol area.

The ideal person will be supporting the products- mainly WASP installations.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Typical (non-exhaustive) duties may include:

 

Electrical installation work to BS7671 or its equivalent

Installation, service, and repair to a variety of low voltage electrical control systems

Installation and commissioning of a variety of instrumentation & control systems controllers including flow, solids, pH, pressure, levels & actuated knife gate valves

Installation and commissioning of a variety of instrumentation & control systems sensors

Capability of carrying out mechanical assembly/modification of pipework assemblies where minor blockages have occurred, modifications are required or replacement of leaking pipe sections

Routine maintenance calls with probe cleaning

Conducting planned preventative maintenance and calibration of instruments on companies product range

Taking charge of a working party and be responsible for lesser skilled employees, therefore they should be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Health & Safety issues and leadership skills – might be occasionally required

 

Required Skills and Qualification:

ECS / CSCS card

Electrical Qualifications

Full driving license

Ability to organise and manage time effectively

Good written and verbal communication skills

Teamwork and collaboration skills PC literate and be able to demonstrate IT skills to be able to carry out the following:

-Very Basic Microsoft package skills (Word- Excel)

-Able to access, read and respond to emails in a professional and timely manner

-Load software, make operating system modifications - Training given

-Change PC module peripherals as required - Training given

 

Water industry experience preferred but not essential

 

Physical Demands:

Travelling is essential for this as is overnight stays at times

May be subjected to occasional extended work hours
