Pre-Construction Manager/ Bid Manager

An exciting opportunity for an ambitious and technically qualified Pre-Construction manager to join our team in Glasgow working on a portfolio of rail infrastructure / civil engineering projects.

Our client is looking for a Pre-construction Manager to join their well established team to deliver schemes and remits within the clients portfolio of civil engineering and rail infrastructure projects. Leading the role within the BAM, designer & Network Rail integrated teams, you will be in charge of developing proposals for the detail design & delivery of significant volume of overbridge & station reconstruction to enable the electrification of the critical rail routes across the central belt of Scotland.

As a Pre-Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

• Be responsible and accountable to the Rail Operations Director for all Precontract Activities.

• Coordinate Client / Customer contact in line with agreed strategy.

• Manage and Coordinate all aspects of pre contract activities including, estimating, planning, procurement, governance.

• Where required lead the bid management process to ensure that tender deliverables are produced in a timely and effective manner.

• Oversee and / or interrogate design option and value engineering solutions in line with the customers remit.

• Manage and Coordinate the BAM preconstruction governance assurance for all projects within your portfolio.

• Lead and coordinate commercial / engineering reviews as required by the governance assurance procedure.
