Job Details

JOB ROLE: Administrator 

The type of project: Head Office 

Location of Project: Cramlington

Hours: 40hrs per week | 8.00am - 16.30pm

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Agency start - Leading to permanent 

Administrator will :

  • Integrate successfully with the existing business, relevant departments and staff
  • Provide quality services
  • Bring new ideas to the business to enhance the Merit brand, awareness of Merit and Merit services
  • Have the capacity to deliver a diversity of requirements within a working day
  • Have a flexible approach to work load
  • Have demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Have demonstrated a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and should have the capability and willing to learn

Duties and Responsibilities

The role is focused at achieving results in a consistent manner to a defined quality. 

Specific duties will include: .

  • Good strong administrative skills, able to chase via telephone and email.
  • Desired to have used a Netsuite/Proscope ERP System
  • Providing support to the Estimating/Purchasing team including all administrative and system related tasks
  • Organising and storing paperwork to suit QA systems.
  • Maintaining office systems and departmental documentation
  • Data entry
  • Liaising with staff in other departments and with external contacts
  • Organising and storing paperwork, documents, and computer-based information
  • Photocopying and printing various documents.
  • Placing purchase orders on Netsuite in line with company procedures
  • Providing support to the purchasing team and bring new ideas and suggestion to improve systems and maintain good working records.
  • Providing support to other departments as required including site, estimating and travel.
  • Printing information as required and distributing.
  • Assisting in the planning and preparation of meetings, conferences, and conference calls
  • Providing and sending out information and reports when needed
  • Liaising with the logistics team to ensure travel arrangements for the department.
  • Providing holiday cover for reception and travel & logistics as and when required, on a rota basis.
  • Performing all other duties in accordance with the business needs
