Fantastic opportunity to join a reputable and well established Civils Contractor in the West of Scotland, who are looking to appoint a new Project Co-Ordinator to assist in the delivery of some major infrastructure contracts throughout Glasgow and the West. Job Details

As a Project Coordinator within our preconstruction team, you will deliver the development / optioning of various framework projects from identification of need to construction contract award. Agreeing and Co-ordinating the deliverables for each project in a timely manner to achieve agreed goals.

Within this role, your duties will typically include, but are not limited to:

  • Liaise with client, suppliers, team members to achieve project objectives
  • Coordinate workload to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Manage design development projects within allotted timelines and budgets
  • Report weekly to the Preconstruction Manager on workload and progress
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Drive efficiency into every project taking cognisance of carbon reduction
  • Assist in developing cost-effective solutions
  • Ensure outputs meet CDM/health and safety/environmental compliance
  • Review design risk assessments
  • Produce scope documentation in a timely manner
  • Propose and/or develop value engineered alternative solutions during design phase
  • Develop methods for complex or unusual projects

The successful applicant, will be able to demonstrate:

  • HNC in Civil Engineering
  • Current relevant CSCS card preferred
  • Significant experience within the civil engineering field
  • Working knowledge of relevant industry specifications
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering management, construction processes
  • Good team worker and able to coach others but also able to exercise own judgement and work independently, managing own time/tasks
  • Effective communicator and able to assert own view
